Each year, the Foundation organizes conferences, workshops
and special events devoted to specific issues surrounding water.
The Foundation’s annual Water Summit, typically held in the
fall, features speakers from various interest groups, the
state Legislature and governmental agencies who play important
roles in making policy decisions about water. Other conferences
have focused on climate change, groundwater, the Delta, flood
management and drought. We also host an annual Water 101
workshop as well as other workshops. Some conferences are
conducted in partnership with state agencies and other
organizations.
More 2025 event details will be announced soon! Make
sure you’re among the first to hear about them and other event
details by signing up for Foundation
announcements.
The Water Summit is the Water Education Foundation’s premier event of the year, with leading policymakers and experts addressing critical water issues in California and across the West.
The 2025 event will be held Wednesday, October 1, at The Sawyer Hotel in downtown Sacramento and includes lunch and an evening reception to network with speakers and fellow attendees. Conversations will revolve around this year’s theme, Embracing Uncertainty in the West, with a focus on how to move forward with critical decisions despite myriad unknowns facing the West’s most precious natural resource.
