Description: Join the ‘Geography of Hope’ education team as we explore standards-based activities and tools to engage your students in the study of local watershed connections to the sea. Participants will learn how to present activities in both in-person and virtual, distance-learning formats!
The interdisciplinary activities of Project WET include real-life scenarios, use of data and emphasis on critical thinking. Project activities support and expand on existing curriculum and provide strong foundations for STEAM, Project-Based and Service-Learning programs.
Participants completing the workshop will receive a copy of Project WET Guide 2.0, access to detailed Project WET NGSS standard correlations for both programs, access to the new Project WET standard pools and an opportunity to receive CEU credit. Time will be given to collaborate and customize lessons.
Geography of Hope is a Peer Learning Community for teachers designed to further core themes of integrative teaching practices, environmental literacy, environmental justice, and restoration of coastal zone habitat areas.
