Description: SHASTA REGION EDUCATORS! Spring Rivers Foundation and Turtle Bay Exploration Park invite you to join us for a free, virtual ‘Watersheds to the Sea’ Project WET workshop!
Over the course of the day, you will enjoy exploring standards-based activities and tools to help students understand connections between their local watersheds and the sea. Participants will learn how to present activities in both in-person and virtual, distance-learning formats!
The interdisciplinary activities of Project WET include real-life scenarios, use of data and emphasis on critical thinking. Project activities support and expand on existing curriculum and provide strong foundations for STEAM, Project-Based and Service-Learning programs.
The training will include a close look at the use Project WET standards pools by grade bands and their use as models to ‘Chart Your Own Course’ in using Project WET activities.
Participants completing the workshop will receive a copy of Project WET Guide 2.0, access to detailed Project WET NGSS standard correlations for both programs, access to the new Project WET standard pools and an opportunity to receive CEU credit.
