Description: This workshop comes together through a partnership with Riverside County Watershed Protection and Elsinore Valley Municipal District. The free workshop will be offered to middle school and high school teachers in the Inland Empire with a focus on watershed importance and its ties to our local groundwater and ultimately our drinking water. Participants will receive an overview of California’s water resources, and hands-on experience with dynamic activities to engage students in water conservation.
The workshop will include an interdisciplinary exploration of Project WET water-conservation activities that will engage your students in understanding why and how we conserve water – while reinforcing concepts and skills at the heart of Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards.
