Description: SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY K-12 EDUCATORS! Please join the Grasslands Environmental Education Center and California Department of Water Resources for a day engaging in water conservation activities from Project WET (Water Education Today).
This workshop will be an interdisciplinary exploration of activities designed to engage students in learning about the interrelationships between human water use practices and the dollars and cents of water conservation, while learning concepts and skills at the heart of Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards.
Participants attending this FREE training will receive an overview of current climate science trends impacting California water resources, experience with activities to engage students in water conservation, a copy of Project WET Guide 2.0, lunch, an opportunity to receive 0.6 CEU credit – and a $50 stipend upon completion of the training!
