Description: Alameda County Water District and the California Project WET program invite Tri-City teachers to an interactive workshop about water education activities to engage K-12 students!
Water conservation will be the focus of this workshop, as you experience activities to engage students in water science and the relationship of this resource to society and the world in which we live.
You’ll also learn about Project WET activity connections to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards and California’s Education & the Environment Initiative (EEI). Project WET activities also provide strong support for STEAM, Service-Learning and Project-Based Learning programs.
All attendees will walk away with a free copy of Project WET Guide 2.0 with access to over 110 water education activities and detailed NGSS correlations. Participants will also go on a behind-the-scenes tour of ACWD’s state-of-the art water treatment plant.
