Vik Jolly
News & Publications Director
Vik serves as the primary editor of the Foundation’s publications, including Western Water news, the series of Laypersons Guides on key water topics, maps and other publications, and manages Aquafornia and executes much of the social media efforts. He joined the Foundation in 2025.
A veteran journalist, Vik is an award-winning editor and reporter who has worked for several news organizations, including The Orange County Register, the Associated Press and newspapers in Hawaii and Palm Springs. He also freelanced for The New York Times from Southern California, covering breaking news. In nearly three decades in daily journalism, he reported on and supervised reporters covering multiple beats, including water. energy and politics.
He earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from California State University, Fullerton, in journalism and social sciences.
