The UC Davis Coastal and Marine Sciences Institute and the Delta Stewardship Council are co-presenting a symposium on the science and policy of carbon captured and stored in the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Bay-Delta) region. The event will highlight recent research on carbon dynamics across land-sea interfaces, identify key habitats and conditions that optimize carbon sequestration, and evaluate frameworks for carbon and greenhouse gas accounting and integration with climate policy.
