Young entrepreneur Stephanie Heiser has gone through the long application process to be licensed to bring a Ted Talks X on Oct. 8 to the Ice House Theatre. … “Since Visalia and the surrounding communities are at the forefront of water innovation and debates, our theme this year is Water: Fluid Perspectives,” [Stephanie] Heiser said. “We’ll be illustrating the environmental and social relevance of the Central Valley as the pinnacle of water innovation and water rights.” Some of the 12 speakers and presenters include William Boudeaux, Coalinga farmer and chair of the California Water Alliance; Don A. Wright, founder of WaterWrights; Dusty Ference, a lobbyist for the Farm Bureau; and hydrogeologist Chris Johnson. They will present a variety of views on water issues.
