State regulators reject water petition because of status of petitioner
A former member of a Marina water advocacy group filed a motion with state regulators requesting a change in a water decision under the pretense of still being a member of the group, officials with the group say. In a letter emailed to the California Public Utilities Commission on Monday, Liesbeth Visscher, the chairwoman of Citizens for Just Water, and Lisa Berkley, one of the early members of the advocacy group, informed the commission that a request to change a CPUC decision, called a Petition for Modification, filed by Margaret-Anne Coppernoll under the guise of being a current member of the group was never authorized by the organization.
