‘Recycled water’ approval on tap at city council
As it was originally structured at the Wednesday, Aug. 21, Scottsdale City Council meeting, the public will not have the opportunity to weigh in on – or hear a presentation about – a plan to bring recycled wastewater to their homes in a little more than two years. Some have expressed concerns about Scottsdale’s recycled water program, which rejuvenates and purifies wastewater. Proponents – led by recycled water cheerleader Brian Biesemeyer, executive director of the award-winning Scottsdale Water – see this as a way out of tough ramifications of a long drought.
