Gov. Gavin Newsom has appointed two new members of the California Water Commission – Samantha F.V. Arthur, 35, of Sacramento, and Alexandre B. Makler, 52, of Berkeley. Arthur has been Working Lands Program Director at Audubon California since 2019. She is a member of the Water Education Foundation’s 2020 Water Leaders class. Makler has been Senior Vice President, West Region of Calpine Corporation since 2014.
