News release: State continues to advance sustainable groundwater management with release of 17 basin determinations
The Department of Water Resources (DWR) today announced decisions for groundwater sustainability plans in 17 non-critically overdrafted groundwater basins in California. [11 plans were approved, 6 deemed incomplete]. These determinations mark ongoing progress in reaching long-term sustainability for the state’s groundwater basins, a critical water supply for millions of Californians.
