News release: Lake Perris algal bloom at danger advisory
The Department of Water Resources (DWR) urges people to avoid physical contact with water at Lake Perris’ Moreno Beach in Riverside County until further notice due to the presence of blue-green algae. People should also avoid eating fish or shellfish. A danger advisory was put in place today, and remains in effect until further notice. Swimming and other water-contact recreation are not considered safe at Moreno Beach due to potential adverse health effects.
