Los Angeles records more than a month’s rain in a day
A storm that was delivering an unusual amount of rain for October had much of Southern California on edge on Tuesday as forecasters and local officials warned it could unleash the type of heavy rain that sends torrents of water and debris down steep slopes in places recently burned by wildfires.
