Facebook pledges to restore more water than it uses by 2030
Facebook announced plans Thursday to restore more water than it consumes by the year 2030, the company’s latest initiative targeting climate change. The company mostly uses water for cooling the banks of computers that run in its data centers. In 2020, Facebook withdrew 3.7 million cubic meters of water for a total consumption of 2.2 million cubic meters.
