From the Central Arizona Project (CAP) Water Ways and Power Lines Blog:
“The results of the 2012 Colorado River Basin Water Supply and Demand Study were striking—within the next 50 years, we may experience significant supply shortfalls in the Colorado River basin.
“Upon receiving the study results, Central Arizona Project (CAP) began to conduct a comprehensive assessment of what had already been done to address a potential shortfall. The results of this study—conducted in cooperation with the Arizona Department of Water Resources, Arizona Municipal Water Users Association, Salt River Project, City of Tucson, City of Phoenix, and irrigation districts including Maricopa Stanfield, Central Arizona, New Magma, and Hohokam—will be debuted at next week’s Colorado River Water Users Association conference.”
