Update on Water Education Foundation 2021 Programming Schedule
Fall Tours and Events Being Assessed with an Abundance of Caution
The Water Education Foundation has hosted successful virtual tours and events during the COVID-19 pandemic and is now closely monitoring developments – as capacity and distancing restrictions are lifted from public health guidelines this summer – to inform the format choices for our fall programs.
The safety and health of our partners, event attendees and staff will continue to guide the Foundation’s decisions as we consider how best to host our remaining 2021 programming, including our popular tours to key watersheds and events such as our annual Water Summit, which we are hoping to host in-person in late October of this year.
In the meantime, be sure check out these Foundation resources as we continue to educate the public on water:
- As drought tightens its grip on California and the West, learn what it means, what you can do and how you can keep up with developments with the Foundation’s new drought resource page.
- Read the Foundation writing team’s articles in Western Water news, including a recent exploration of efforts to help consumers afford their water bills through the pandemic.
- The Foundation recently published an update to our Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Map.
- Every weekday, the Foundation compiles the top water news from around California and the West in Aquafornia.
