There’s Still Time! Support the Water Education Foundation on Giving Tuesday
Your Support Makes a Critical Impact on Water Education in California and the West
Since 1977, the Water Education
Foundation has worked to inspire better understanding
and catalyze critical conversations about our most vital
natural resource: water.
This is not a mission our impartial nonprofit can carry out alone.
Today on Giving Tuesday, a global day of philanthropy, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to support the important work we do to provide impartial education and foster informed decision-making on water issues in California and the West.
Why Your Gift Matters:
Inspire understanding of water . . .
Water 101 – A
subject as complex and constantly changing as water can be hard
to follow. Our popular Water
101 workshop introduces the history, geography,
politics and legal facets of water in California as well as hot
topics of the moment. A gift of $250 provides a scholarship for
participants such as law students who couldn’t otherwise afford
to attend this annual event.
- Western Water – Our journalism team relies on your support to produce thoughtfully reported, enterprise articles on crucial water issues in California and the West.
- Aquafornia – Thanks to our supporters, our weekday Aquafornia roundup offers top water news from California and across the West for free to the public.
Catalyze critical conversations . . .
Water tours –
Our boots-on-the-ground education brings those interested in
California and Colorado River water issues directly to key sites
and speakers representing different viewpoints
on water-related issues. A gift of $500 provides a
scholarship for a participant who could not otherwise afford to
attend.
- Events – Our annual Water Summit brings leading experts and top policymakers together to share insights on the latest water issues and innovations. This event takes a lot of coordination and planning that would not be possible without philanthropic support.
Please donate today to support our mission. Our impartial resources and programs would not be possible without your support!
Thank you!
