There is no need to wait to show your love for the Water Education Foundation! You can donate early to our Big Day of Giving campaign and help us reach our fundraising goal of $10,000 by May 7.

Big Day of Giving is a 24-hour online fundraising marathon for nonprofits. Donations will benefit our programs and publications centering on the most precious natural resource in California and across the West.

Here are just a few things your donation will help us accomplish in 2026:

• Expand Project WET teacher training workshops to benefit K-12 students throughout California.
• Translate our recently published Layperson’s Guide to California Water into Spanish for the first time!
• Launch a new streamlined and mobile-adaptable website that will allow for a more intuitive experience as users conduct research, read our weekday newsfeed and sign up for tours and events.
• Maintain free public access to our Western Water news coverage and our daily water newsfeed, Aquafornia, to keep everyone abreast of the issues.
• Provide scholarships for our tours, events and workshops so everyone can learn about the West’s most critical natural resource.
• Empower next generation leaders from all sectors of the water world to broaden their knowledge and build their collaborative skills through our popular Water Leader programs in California and the Colorado River Basin.

Attend our Open House!

In conjunction with the Big Day of Giving, we are hosting an open house on May 7. Stop by our Sacramento office anytime between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to enjoy happy hour refreshments, get to know our programs and team, and network with Foundation fans from across the water world!
