Description: Join us for a Project WET interactive workshop to kick off your conference experience!
Project WET (Water Education Today) is an international nonprofit program that provides award-winning, science-based, hands-on water education materials and training workshops for K-12 educators and students. Its goal is to promote water conservation, stewardship, and a deeper understanding of global water challenges.
This workshop is open to anyone! Everyone from classroom teachers to non-formal educators to UC Environmental Stewards instructors (and all those in between and beyond) will benefit from Project WET’s easy to implement and adaptable activities that will engage learners of all ages.
A prerequisite 2-hour self-paced virtual training before the conference will flow into this hands-on, pre-conference workshop, where you will experience several of the activities, do a “splash through the guide” and explore ways you can integrate the content into your work or volunteer service.
Every participant completing the full training will walk away with a personal copy of Project WET’s Foundations of Water Education guide and ideas on how to apply WET activities indoors or out!
