Opinion: U.S. Senate must pass legislation to protect and preserve San Francisco Bay
Saving our planet will require unprecedented focus and investment from every sector of our society and all levels of government — especially the federal government. Yet when it comes to the San Francisco Bay — a national treasure and the lifeblood of our region, producing over $370 billion in goods and services annually and supporting more than 4 million jobs — the federal government has been complicit in its deterioration.
