Our 42ⁿᵈ annual Water Summit is the Foundation’s premier event of the year and returns to Sacramento October 29 with leading policymakers and experts addressing critical water issues in California and across the West. Capacity is limited and filling up quickly, so register here while seats are available!

Conversations during the Summit will revolve around this year’s theme, Stewarding a New Era in Western Water, with a focus on emerging topics related to the challenges and opportunities facing water resource management.

• The mandate to identify 9 million acre-feet of additional water supply in California by 2040

• The latest developments in desalination efforts and their implications for the arid West

Water Leaders | November 10 Virtual Q&A

Interested in applying for the 2027 California Water Leaders cohort? Make sure to do these two things:

• Sign up for a virtual Q&A session on Nov. 10 to get an overview of our popular but competitive program and tips on how to submit a strong application.
• Sign up for our announcements if someone sent you this one so you know when the application window opens.

Mandatory dates for the 2027 program will be available when the application window opens but it will kick off with a Jan. 21 orientation in Sacramento. Applications must include an updated resume, a letter of interest and a letter of support from your workplace. 

The Water Leaders program is aimed at providing a deeper understanding of California water issues and building leadership skills with class members by studying a water topic in-depth and working with a mentor. Cohort members go on tours and attend our Water 101 Workshop and annual Water Summit.
