Registration is now open for the Water Education Foundation’s 41ˢᵗ annual Water Summit featuring leading policymakers and experts in conversation about the latest information and insights on water in California and the West.

The daylong summit on Wednesday, Oct. 1, in Sacramento is our  premiere event of the year and ideal as a way to get up to speed on current topics for water district managers and board members, state and federal agency officials, city and county government leaders, farmers, environmentalists, attorneys, consultants, engineers, business executives and public interest groups. Klamath River Tour | September 8-12

This special, first-ever Foundation water tour will not be offered every year! If you haven’t already entered the ticket lottery for the limited bus seating, review the tour details here and submit the entry form linked at the top of the tour page right away.

Don’t miss this opportunity to examine water issues along the 263-mile Klamath River, from its spring-fed headwaters in south-central Oregon to its redwood-lined estuary on the Pacific Ocean in California. Among the planned stops is the former site of Iron Gate Dam & Reservoir for a firsthand look at restoration efforts following the obsolete structure’s removal.

Northern California Tour | October 22-24

The bus is already nearing capacity for our popular, three-day Northern California Tour that journeys across the Sacramento Valley from Sacramento to Redding with visits to Oroville and Shasta dams!

Experts will talk about the history of the Sacramento River as the tour winds through riparian woodland, rice fields, wildlife refuges and nut orchards. Other stops include Red Bluff Fish Passage Improvement Project, rice farms, Battle Creek, Glenn-Colusa Irrigation District, Sites Valley and Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge.
