Description: TAHOE EDUCATORS! Join us for a day exploring WET activities being used across the nation to engage students in learning about climate change and how the interdisciplinary activities to help integrate knowledge, concepts and skills at the core of current education standards back in the classroom.
Project WET activities are designed to engage students of all ages in formal and non-formal education settings in the study of water through interactive simulations, use of models and reality-based scenarios. Our activities are designed to supplement existing curriculum and reinforce practices integrated within Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards – and provide strong foundations for STEAM, Project-Based and Service-Learning programs.
For a $10 registration fee, participants attending this training will receive a copy of Project WET Guide 2.0, including access to over 100 water education activities and detailed correlations to Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), access to Project WET’s new ‘Using Project WET to teach Climate Resilience’ module - plus lunch and light refreshments.
