Environmental Defense Fund
Pablo Garza is the California Political Director for the Ecosystems Program at the Environmental Defense Fund. He develops and implements policy initiatives to help achieve Environmental Defense Fund’s water and habitat objectives.
Before joining Environmental Defense Fund, he was associate director of external affairs and state policy with The Nature Conservancy, where he worked to help pass the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act of 2014, among other initiatives. Previously he worked as a legislative aide in the California state Legislature and was a consultant on the Assembly Committee on Business and Professions.
He earned a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California, Davis. He is currently a member of the California State Mining and Geology Board.
