Yolo County Conservation Plan Gets Boost from Federal Grant
From the Sacramento Business Journal:
“By virtue of a $999,000 grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, [Yolo] county is about 18 months away from completing the Yolo Natural Heritage Program, which would guide conservation plans for future development. …
“Habitat conservation plans such as Yolo’s, which are being created simultaneously in other counties across the region, are designed to allow a single permitting step for developers to gain compliance under both the federal Endangered Species Act and the state Natural Community Conservation Planning Act, as well as a local component.”
