Supervisors approve pact with state to move forward on Lookout Slough project
The group that helped force the state to revisit recreational opportunities in the Liberty Island area of Solano County, failed Tuesday to get the Board of Supervisors to do the same. Taylor Dahlke, the spokesman for Liberty Island Access, called into the board meeting and asked the supervisors to table a decision on a memorandum of understanding with the state Department of Fish and Wildlife and Department of Water Resources until more specific recreation commitments from the state are included in the agreement – specifically land access.
