A storm moving into California on Thursday brought rain that threatened to unleash debris flows in wildfire burn areas and snow that could cause travel problems in the Sierra Nevada. A watershed emergency response team worked in the area of Paradise to identify spots that could be prone to flash floods and mudslides.
