Commentary: Why Bay Area Should Care About California Delta

“The California delta’s water woes might seem distant, but if you live in Alameda, Contra Costa or Santa Clara counties, you may drink delta water. …
“Next month, the state will release the final (and 25,000-page) draft of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan, which includes a proposal to build a $14 billion ‘facility’ and 30-foot-diameter twin tunnels to move water from the north delta to the state water pumps in the south delta.”
