“This month, a handful of Latino lawmakers stood clapping along with a gathering of Angelenos furious about pollution spewing from a plant that smelts lead to make car batteries. … Environmental priorities for us go beyond wildlife and woodlands. They include stopping toxic pollutants in our air and water and protecting the health of our families where we live and play.
“Strong action on pollution is not what we are seeing in Sacramento.”
