Description: The Solano County Resource Conservation District and School Water Education Program invite Elementary educators (K – 6) to attend this active workshop experience on water resources in Solano County and activities to engage students back in the classroom!
We differentiate our Project W.E.T. workshops by grade bands to address the needs of all Solano County K -12 teachers - Our Spring workshop will be for secondary teachers. Plan to register as a group if your teacher team is looking for a unifying curricular theme or a common learning opportunity. School administrators, curriculum coaches, and other support staff are welcome as well!.
The interdisciplinary, STEM friendly and water themed activities of Project W.E.T. are designed to engage students, while enriching your Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards classroom curricula. They also provide strong support for Project-Based and Service Learning programs.
In addition to the Project WET activities, each workshop will feature Solano County water resources specialists who will provide information about our local water resources. Professional Development hours are offered through most districts and Continuing Educational Units are available through CSU San Marcos for an additional fee.
