Description: Join us for this FREE professional development externship in applied science, research, STEM careers and environmental science curriculum. The institute will include field trips to regional floodplains to learn about ecology, watershed management and current habitat remediation projects in the Sacramento River watershed.
In addition, participants will be learning and practicing field research skills and data collection alongside ecologists, biologists, entomologists and water scientists; standards-based curriculum resources for teaching watershed science and ecology concepts and current water issues facing all Californians and an opportunity to receive a $200 stipend!
