Helpful Water Rights Terms: Aquafornia Water ‘Word’ of the Week
Aquafornia’s Water Word of the Week from sister site Aquapedia deviates from being an actual word to instead highlighting a special section called Helpful Water Rights Terms.
Among the water rights terms that are defined include Adjudicate, Appropriative Right, Implied Right, Pueblo Right, Reasonable and Beneficial Use, Riparian, and Vested, to name just several.
To learn more about water rights, Aquapedia also lists a variety of related Foundation resources that are available. For example, there is the “Layperson’s Guide to Water Rights Law,” “How Much Water Does the Delta Need? Western Water, July/August 2012,” “Keeping it Down on the Farm: Agricultural Water Use Efficiency, Western Water, April/May 2012,” and “Shaping the West: 100 Years of Reclamation Water, Western Water, May/June 2002.”
