Governor Declares State of Emergency In Inyo County to Secure Federal Funds for Highway Repairs Due to Storms

“Moving to secure the Federal funding necessary to complete repairs to roadways in Inyo County badly damaged and closed due to July’s severe thunderstorms, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today [Sept. 30] issued the following emergency proclamation: …
“WHEREAS from July 22, 2013, through July 28, 2013, severe thunderstorms descended upon Southern California, bringing high winds, excessive precipitation, and flash flooding; …
“WHEREAS the storm caused mud and debris flows, and localized flooding, throughout portions of central, south and south east Inyo County … ”
