Block Rates: Aquafornia Water Word of the Week
Aquafornia’s Water Word of the Week is Block Rates, a newly added water term on sister site Aquapedia, the Water Education Foundation’s vetted, interactive online water encyclopedia.
This week’s water word, according to Aquapedia’s definition, is a “pricing system where prices remain low for essential uses of water. Higher prices are then charged for uses of water deemed to be less necessary.”
Developed and managed by the Foundation, your tax-deductible contributions will go far to help Aquapedia continue to provide teachers, students, community leaders, journalists, water professionals, policymakers and the general public with balanced information on major water issues, topics and terms. Among other Aquapedia features are bios of historical water people, a Directory of Water Interests, and useful acronyms.
